Alu1 Home ceramic coatings are designed for long-term protection of new and used colour-coated aluminium and other metal surfaces such as window frames and garage doors.

When applied to older surfaces, the coating can only perform to the condition of the underlying material. For best results and maximum durability, appropriate surface restoration should be carried out prior to application.

Product Life Expectancy

Alu1 Home coatings are engineered to provide durable protection with an expected service life of 3–7 years, depending on:

• The condition of the underlying surface
• Local environmental conditions (sun exposure, sea air, pollution)
• The level of regular aftercare and cleaning

The coating helps resist adhesion of dirt and grime, reduces cleaning effort, and offers improved resistance to common surface deterioration. However, fading and oxidisation of the original paint layer are natural processes and are not prevented by the coating.

Care & Maintenance

To maintain performance and achieve the longest possible life expectancy:

• Do not use abrasive cleaners or tools. Use only soft, clean microfibre cloths or sponges.
• Do not use a pressure washer at close range or with a rotating blast nozzle.
• After washing, dry with a microfibre towel or blow dry with clean air (e.g., a leaf blower).
• Prevent water spots by avoiding drying of tap water or cleaning solution on the surface.

Garage doors: Clean at least twice yearly (or more frequently if exposed to windblown dirt, grit, or pollen) using Alu1 Surface Cleaner.
